July 8, 2017 - July 15, 2017

Yo Soy El Camino(I am the Way) is an orphanage that Gateway supports in Palmira, Colombia. Twenty children live in the orphanage run by Gabriela Lopez. She is a visionary and the founder of this home. Her desire is to take on more children.

Caviva is a local church where Gabriela Lopez and the children from Yo Soy El Camino attend. The church is under the leadership of Apostles Gustavo and Lorena Martinez. Gustavo and Lorena have a vision to see an army of young people aid in the advancement of the gospel.

The combination of these two ministries and Gateway, is a partnership made in heaven.

Our recent trip - November 2016

In the first week of November, Pastor Angel & Mary led a team to Colombia . It was a beautiful and intimate trip. At the airport, we were warmly received by Pastors Gustavo, Lorena and few of the children from Yo Soy El Camino. We stayed at the orphanage with the children and spent many hours loving on them, sharing experiences and creating memories. Our team and the children went out to the local communities and prayed for the folks we encountered along the way. We took a day trip to the mountains of Cauca, where the local indigenous people live. We were given the privilege to pray for the pastors of the indigenous people, Pastor Diego and Carolina, their people and their land, for God to bring them unity and supply all their needs. The people there don’t have much, but they love a lot.

This trip allowed us to give what Papa gave us - lots of love and kindness. We are forever changed!
