But Jesus turning and seeing her said ‘Daughter take courage your faith has made you well (sozo)’ and at once the woman was made well (sozo).
— Matthew 9:22

SOZO is a unique inner healing ministry. It is not a counseling session but a time of interacting with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for wholeness and pursuing of your destiny. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the Sozo team will guide you through the process of freedom and wholeness so that you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called. Schedule an appointment by emailing sozo@yourgateway.com or calling 203-934-0880 ext 315.

History

The Sozo Ministry was created in 1997 by Dawna DeSilva at Bethel Church in Redding, California, in response to ministry training by Randy Clark.  The tools used in that new ministry were so successful, that word spread quickly. People from great distances began traveling to Bethel to be “Sozo’d” by Dawna and her staff.  In 1998, other churches and organizations requested that the Bethel Sozo Team come and train them in what God had started there, so Sozo techniques could be used to heal people in their areas.  The Sozo network is now worldwide. Its been in progress in Gateway since 2011.

What is Sozo?

Our aim is to love people and to provide information so that the healing of past wounds can break strongholds, replace lies with truth, and close “doors” to the enemy. A Sozo session will contain elements of the Bethel Sozo tools.

The following are the basic Sozo tools used:

  1. Father Ladder

  2. The Wall

  3. Presenting Jesus

Other tools may be used but not dominate the Sozo ministry time.

What to expect in a Sozo session?

The team will sit down with you and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, gently walk you through a process of freedom and wholeness.  It is a Spirit-led time of interacting with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for forgiveness, healing and pursuing your God-given destiny.

Each session is:

  • Spirit-led: a powerful work of the Holy Spirit

  • Gentle: honoring and non-intrusive

  • Confidential: what is shared in the room stays in the room

  • Simple, fast, effective

  • Provides freedom from strongholds

  • Provides healing from wounds

  • Breaks unhealthy ties

  • God’s truth revealed

Can one Sozo session actually heal a lie that has been believed for many years?

Yes. Once the Lord heals the lie that was settled into your spirit, the rest of your life experiences based on this lie will realign to His truth.

Do you provide counseling?

No. Sozo sessions do not include counseling, bible study or teaching. Sozo helps heal your relationship with God to enable you to fulfill your destiny.

How can I get a personal Sozo ministry session?

  1. Determine if you want Sozo.

  2. Call 203-934-0880 x 315 or email SOZO@yourgateway.com to request a Sozo session.

Sozo Testimonies

God was gathering the pieces of my shattered heart...
— Thanks, T

Several years ago, someone told me what I already knew. They said they saw a picture of my heart shattered. What I didn't know was that God was gathering the pieces. If I had a dream, it was for wholeness. However, I doubted that God wanted to make me whole. I figured that I would do the best I could and maybe God would let my children be whole instead. I didn't realize that God wanted wholeness for me more than I did. He still does. I had no idea how my life would change after Sozo. I won't say it's been easy, but knowing that now, I would do it all over again. I am grateful beyond words.

I have longed for years to experience the Father’s love...
— Expecting Greater Things, R.

I have longed for years to experience the Father's love like you talked about. Some of the Sozo team mentioned crawling up into Papa's lap. That has been something I've longed to experience personally. I prayed about it during the weekend and was open to whatever He wanted to do in my heart or show me about it. I am still walking that out and seeing some of the initial fruits of it.
