SUPPLIES & INSTRUCTIONS:
Necessary supplies: an 11x14 canvas, acrylic paint (red, cadmium yellow medium hue, ultramarine or cerulean blue, black, purple and white), brushes (one inch mop brush with a long handle - also called a makeup powder brush, a pencil thin brush, a 1/2 inch rounded brush, and a 1/2 inch angled brush), 1 or 2 waxy paper plates for mixing colors, a few rags for wiping spills, a plastic or glass bowl of water, scissors, a pencil, a blow dryer, and a few sheets of unlined paper. Optional supplies: a spray bottle for water, an easel (you can paint on a flat surface if you do not have an easel), and tracing paper in place of the unlined paper.
Joannes Fabric and Michaels Crafts allows for online ordering and curbside pickups. If you prefer to shop in a store, supplies can be purchased at Walmart or Ocean State Job Lot.
Acrylic paint stains clothing and surfaces, so please wear old clothing or an apron while painting, and cover your painting surface with plastic or newspaper
